About Dr Hugues Honoré Zoffoun
Dr Hugues Honoré Zoffoun is a Beninese writer, novelist, and educator living in the United States. A native French speaker with a strong background in French and Francophone studies, he has devoted much of his professional life to education, literature, and the promotion of Francophone cultures.
His writing explores the human experience across cultures, particularly the connections between Francophone Africa and the United States. Through stories of love, migration, identity, family, betrayal, resilience, and destiny, he gives voice to characters whose lives unfold between different worlds and cultural realities.
He is the author of Les Silences de Margaret and Bidossessi ou la nouvelle Amazone, two novels published in 2026. His literary work reflects his commitment to presenting Francophone Africa in its richness and complexity while creating meaningful dialogue between African and American experiences.
Beyond writing, Dr Zoffoun is passionate about education and cultural exchange. His vision is to use literature not only to entertain, but also to encourage reflection and conversation about immigration, belonging, cultural identity, and the challenges faced by people navigating multiple cultures.
Through his books, Dr Zoffoun seeks to build bridges between communities, introduce international readers to new perspectives, and contribute to a broader representation of African and Francophone stories in contemporary literature and, ultimately, in film and television.
